Meaford is a municipality in Grey County, Ontario, Canada. Meaford is located on Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay and Owen Sound Bay, in southern Ontario. The municipality’s seal and motto reflect its heritage as a place of apple orchards, but in the 21st century the area has partly switched to weekend homes, seasonal homes, and lakeside tourism. The Meaford Harbour has a significant parkland area, municipal marina and community pavilion with plenty of parking for cars, boats and RV’s.
The Blue Dolphin pool offers swimming lessons, public swimming, and pool rental for events throughout the summer.
Memorial Park is one of Ontario’s few waterfront campgrounds. It has 468 metres of shoreline, a picnic area, playground equipment and a snack bar.
The Georgian trail, trout hollow trail, Tom Thomson Trail, and Bruce Trail all run through the Municipality of Meaford.
